Optimizing User Engagement with the 'Preference center' Page on Your Templates

In the digitally driven age where data privacy and user choice are paramount, it becomes essential to provide your users with customization options. The "Preference Center" in the "Template" feature enables you to do just that. As you navigate the interface, you'd find numerous opportunities to ease the user's experience, ensuring an increase in overall engagement.


Before you can modify the Preference Center, you must log into your account. Once logged in, click on the "Template" option. Among the different templates available, select one you intend to customize and click on it to preview/modify. Afterwards, select the "Preference Center" section.



On the image above we can see the following:


- ENABLE PREFERENCE CENTER

The 'Enable preference center' feature is preconfigured for each of the pre-existing templates, giving you an easier way to activate the preference center for your users. You may choose to disable it if such need arises.


- PREVIEW

Our template provides previews for the desktop, tablet, and mobile versions. However, bear in mind that the preview may not be 100% accurate, and you can always switch to full screen for a more comprehensive view.


Clicking the "Edit" button, will switch the UI into the editor mode. This allows you to make changes to the template as per your requirements.



(1) LANGUAGE

Every template comes preconfigured and pre-translated, for greater accessibility across diverse audiences. Additional language options can be added or removed under the 'Template' -> 'Settings' page.


(2) SETTINGS TAB

In this sub-section, you can set the Tab name, Tab heading, and Tab description that appears on your 'Preference center' page, helping you add unique identifiers to your tabs.


(3) PRIVACY POLICY, COOKIE DECLARATION, and DATA REQUEST TABs

You can set the tab names for these sections as per your organization's policies and requirements, adding legitimacy and integrity to your preferences, for each of the assigned languages to this template.



(4) ADVANCED CATEGORIES

The 'Advanced Categories' section offers a number of options such as 'Advertising Category', 'Analytics Category', 'Customer Interaction Category', etc. Each category can be customized with a unique name and description, helping users make informed decisions while navigating the 'Preference center'. This section is also pre-translated for all of the initially assigned languages, however, you can modify each text piece to better blend with your business language.



(5) BUTTONS / OTHER STRINGS 

There are several other strings in the template such as 'Save', 'Cancel' buttons, 'Block/enable', 'Description', 'Expiry', 'Service', 'Name', 'Host', 'Type' etc. these can be manipulated for a more personalized user experience.
