How to Manually Block a Cookie from Your Scan Report in Secure Privacy

Most cookies and services are automatically detected and blocked by Secure Privacyโ€™s blocking engine. However, sometimes manual configuration is needed to block certain cookies due to specific website setups.

Step 1: Locate Cookies Not Blocked

Go to the Report page in Secure Privacy. Scroll down to the detected cookies section and look for cookies marked with a red X in the Blocking column. These indicate cookies that are not blocked automatically.

Step 2: Identify Script/Pixel/Iframe Source

Consult your implementation or development team to determine the source script, pixel, or iframe responsible for the unblocked service.

Step 3: Apply Blocking Configuration

In the Secure Privacy dashboard, navigate to Classification > Tag Blocking tab. Add the service to block by specifying the type (Script, Iframe, Pixel) and the source URL or domain associated with it.

Step 4: Rescan Your Website

Run a website rescan from the Scan Report page to verify if the previously unblocked service is now successfully blocked.

Summary

  • Identify unblocked cookies in your scan report.
