How to Embed Your Privacy Policies on Your Website
Embedding your privacy policies on your site ensures users can access important compliance information seamlessly. Secure Privacy offers two easy options for embedding your policies: directly from the main Policies dashboard or from individual policy settings.
Who is This For?
This guide is intended for website administrators, compliance officers, and developers who want to integrate privacy policies into their websites efficiently.
Embedding Your Policies: Two Simple Methods
1. Embedding from the Policies Dashboard
Embed all your policies in one place directly from the Policies dashboard:
- Log in to your Secure Privacy dashboard and go to the Policies section.
- Find and click the Embed button.
- A popup will display the embed code for your policies.
- You can select a default language for your policies here. Users will still be able to choose their preferred language on your site.
- Copy the embed code and paste it into the HTML of your website where you want the policies to appear.
2. Embedding Individual Policies
Display different policies on different pages with individual embedding:
- From the Policies dashboard, select the specific policy you want to embed.
- Click Embed in the left sidebar of the policy’s settings page.
- Copy the provided embed code.
- Paste the code into your webpage’s HTML where you want the policy displayed.
- Select a default language if needed, helpful for multilingual sites.
Important Note
If your website already links directly to policy pages, embedding is optional as these linked policies will automatically integrate within your Preference Center.
Common Issues & Fixes
- Embedded policy not displaying: Ensure proper placement of code in your webpage HTML and clear cache.
- Language settings not applying: Confirm default language selection in embed popup and user’s browser settings.
